Arrive in Athens, the classical capital of Greece; transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to discover the ancient wonders of this city known as the cradle of Western Civilization and the birthplace of democracy.

The exploration of Athens begins with a panoramic drive through the city center. View the Panathenian Stadium and the ruins of the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch, built to celebrate the arrival of the Roman Emperor Hadrian. Continue on to visit the Acropolis, the ancient architectural masterpiece built during the Golden Age of Athens, and the new Acropolis Museum, a striking modern building built at the base of the monument where many of the original statues from the Acropolis are now displayed. The rest of the day is at leisure. Be sure to walk to Constitution Square, where you might catch a glimpse of the colorfully-costumed Evzone guards, outfitted in the traditional Greek style. Tonight, perhaps walk through the lively Plaka area, the oldest section of Athens, a neighborhood of charming restaurants, shops, and sidewalk cafes. (B)

Enjoy your early morning breakfast and at indicated time transfer to Athens port (Piraeus or Rafina) for your fast ferry to Mykonos. Upon arrival on Mykonos Island transfer to your hotel for check-in. Remaining of your day at your leisure to discover the cosmopolitan Island of Mykonos. Overnight at your Mykonos hotel.  (B)

Today is free to relax at one of the many golden sandy beaches or wander along the narrow streets of the Old Town and Little Venice where houses and cafes have been built directly at water level. From there, admire the views of the famous windmills, where the grain used to be milled for bread flour. Leave time to shop at one of the many unique boutiques, or relax at a terrace bar. (B)

On your leisure day, perhaps set out to explore the island with its history dating back to early Ionian civilization, or join the optional tour to the splendid archaeological site of the nearby island of Delos, once the religious center of the Aegean and Cyclades. According to myth, Latonna gave birth here to Apollo, the Greek sun god, and to Artemis, the huntress, and goddess of marriage and fertility. In Delos, view the Sacred Harbor and the regal Sacred Way, flanked by stone lions leading to the temples dedicated to Apollo and Artemis, and visit the museum housing some of the impressive archaeological artifacts found on the island. (B)

Enjoy your breakfast and free morning; later transfer at indicated time to Mykonos port for your fast ferry to Santorini. Upon arrival on the Island of Santorini, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Remaining of your afternoon at leisure to admire the spectacular caldera with whitewashed houses perched on the edge, created by the eruption of the island's volcano in ancient times. Overnight at your Santorini hotel. (B)

Today is free to explore this Greek paradise. Take time to visit the Archaeological Museum containing Minoan artifacts that offer a glimpse into the historical and religious makeup of this beautiful village. Explore the shops and cafes along the narrow footpaths, and be sure to grab a seat at an outdoor cafe as you wait for the colorful sunset. Perhaps join the optional Santorini Island & Akrotiri tour* and enjoy the archaeological excavation of ancient Akrotiri, stop at Perivolos known as 'the black sandy beach, and visit Santo Wine, the largest winery on Santorini. You may also decide to join the optional Santorini Private Island Tour*, where you will visit the famous clifftop village of Oia, and stop by the lighthouse of Akrotiri and the famous Red Beach before experiencing a local wine tasting. (B)

Enjoy a second full day at leisure in Santorini. Thousands of years ago, one of the most devastating volcanic eruptions in history occurred here. This event is believed to have led to the demise of the ancient Minoan culture and inspired several Greek myths. To learn more, join the optional Santorini Volcano Cruise* aboard a motorized sailing boat that circles around the island. Sail to the nearby volcanic islands of Palia Kameni and Nea Kameni for leisure time before returning to the port of Athinios. Perhaps decide to join the optional Santorini Catamaran Cruise* to spend a relaxing day sailing in the blue waters of Santorini. Savor a freshly prepared lunch, and enjoy time swimming at the famous Red Beach. Alternatively, join the optional Half Day Santorini Food & Wine Tour where you will visit a local farm, a waterside tavern, and a winery with a view. (B)

Spend a full day at leisure exploring Crete with its remarkable history that is evident across the island, highlighted by the ruins of the great Palace of Knossos, the ceremonial and political center of the ancient Minoan civilization, and the residence of the mythical King Minos. Perhaps travel to Rethymnon on Crete's north coast where the Ottomans and Venetians built mosques, Renaissance buildings, and huge fortresses. (B)

The day is yours to enjoy your free time relaxing on one of Crete's glorious sandy beaches along the vivid blue Mediterranean Sea. Linger in town and join the locals sitting in a café at the village square drinking coffee, or indulge in the distinctive Cretan cuisine renowned for its life-prolonging qualities. (B)

After breakfast, depart at indicated time for Heraklion Airport for your flight to Athens. (B)
